John was born on November 11, 1934 and passed away on Friday, November 24, 2017.

John was a resident of Erie, Pennsylvania at the time of passing.

He played football in high school and, after graduation, attended Edinboro State Teachers College, where he wrestled, boxed in the Golden Gloves, and met his future bride, Patricia A. Woodhouse.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Benedict the Abbot Church on Monday at 1 PM. Interment with Full Military Honors will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Community Foundation of Upper St. Clair, 2585 Washington Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15241.
